great product. only issue is feet straps but you can strap sandles to the feet rest with an extra velcro strap and just slip your feet in the sandles. Great for improving strength and stamina! Full body workout. Works out lower back muscles that are hard to target. My back has more range of motion in it than it has had in years. Reduced back pain in less than 3 days (which was a bonus I didn't even realize I would get)

This is a good machine for this price range. It was easy to set up and start using. The seat wheels seemed loose in the track and I had to tighten them up and lube them to get rid of the wobble. There is a metal cranking sound when using, but not loud enough to concern me. The arms have a place to put and hold the arm when storing. The threads on the right side arm are off, and it won't allow the screw to hold. Not a huge problem, but for this price range, I'm not that concerned. I am concerned that the wheels on the seat last a long time.

Good machine. Only issue out of the box was very low quality roller wheels for the seat. I replaced the low-quality, hard rubber wheels that could not hold the bearings with solid plastic ones after 1 week of use.

Bought this machine to complement a doctor-ordered gym membership, have it set up in my living room, use it first thing in the morning before shower and in evenings while watching TV. I'm all thumbs when it comes to putting things together, but the machine was easy to assemble. It took me about two hours or so, but the average user (i.e., someone not clumsy as an ox) could assemble it in 45 minutes or less. It has a small footprint and does not take up an undue amount of floor space, and the seat is, I think, quite comfortable.
So if I like it so much, why did I give it only four stars? Because of the single flaw in the design, namely the tension adjustment. You set the tension with a 12-setting turn wheel on a shock absorber directly under the slide path of the seat. The location is awkward for adjusting the tension. Usually what I end up doing is turning the machine on end to adjust it. Fortunately, it is lightweight enough to make this a fairly easy (though inconvenient) task.

this machine works good.the foot paddles are cheap and don't keep your feet in them.the heel support is small so when you slide forward your heel lifts up and comes off paddles.the rest of the machine is great,and really worth the money,i tape my feet to the paddles to do a consistent workout.once you settle the paddle deal it makes a great cardio workout!!!!!

Without breaking the bank, my husband and I have been looking for a piece of equipment to use to work out at home, and we have found it! I have bad knees and this machine provides a great low impact work out! I was a bit skeptical of the quality of the machine for the price, but once I read the reviews I thought I'd take the chance. I am glad I did! It is sturdy, and easy to assemble. My only complaint is the velcro foot straps. While using the machine the velcro would stretch out and my feet would slip out of the foot pedals. I switched from my sneakers to my slippers and that eliminated the problem though! We would definitely recommend this machine!!!

The best part about this product was the price, so maybe I was expecting too much for $150. On a typical rowing machine I can get an extreme full body workout. With this machine, I feel the "burn" mostly in my shoulders and abs as I'm trying to re-adjust myself each time I lean forward. I was expecting to use a lot of leg muscle (as that is supposed to be the main muscle used in rowing if done correctly), but I can say I hardly use my quads... just almost all shoulders and abs. Really though, it's just because of the way the machine is built. Your feet kind of slide up and down while you're trying to pull back; And well, it all just feels a bit off. But after using it for half an hour - 45 minutes straight it is a nice cardio workout. I always try to do some lunges and tricep dips after to make the workout feel a bit more complete.
Also, my calorie reader doesn't work as the wire it came with arrived cut in two places... so that was a bit odd. In the company's defense - they did call me to possibly remedy the situation but I haven't had a chance to speak with them.
All in all this machine is an OK workout if you're looking for something low key. It's basically what you get for $150.

I chose this machine for its great price after reading comments from other owners. I am new to daily exercise to keep fit and I wanted something accessible and easy to use, that would not take up much space. This machine is a great deal for the $$, [...] Set up was relatively easy (I am impatient and got ahead of the directions). The machine is very quiet. I liked the idea that the arms replicate a true rowing motion, unlike most other rowing machines (predominantly "drum" types). The only problem I am having with it is that I am only 5'2" tall and positioning myself comfortably between the seat and the foot rests is difficult. I find that I have to place my feet high up on the foot rests in order to approximate what feels like a correct positioning for my height. I will not return the machine but would suggest a foot-rest redesign for smaller framed users like myself. I also think this type of machine works well for an in-house exercise option for those of us who need to exercise for chronic health problems. I am diabetic and plan to use it to enhance my blood sugar control. The cardiovascular benefit will be a nice "extra." Also, I have an old rotator cuff injury with shoulder stiffness; this machine seems to help that by encouraging flexibility in that area. I also like the fact that I will be able to adjust the tension of the row arms in the future (but I am presently a LONG WAY from that!). Ordered this as a Christmas gift for me and my son...I'm in good shape, good weight and mostly looking to tone and strengthen body core. Walk, run or swim approx. 2-3 times a week and live on the beach and was looking for a kayak or something to build upper body strength that was easily accessible for cooler winter months or year round. I was shocked at what a full body work-out this machine really is! Extremely easy to assemble, although I will admit that when it arrived, I dreaded doing it because the box it came in was big and heavy and I really thought it would be difficult (single mom here) but it was so easy and all of the allen wrenches and screwdriver tip were included. Just did a great work out last night for 35 min. and really worked up a sweat. This took about an hour to set-up and I used it immediately. I use it for 30 minutes everyday as I watch TV after work. I have had a sore elbow before I started using this, but it wasn't affected as I used the product. It doesn't put strain on my muscles but I can feel my arms, back, abs and thighs warm up. I'm not sore like I'm used to when I work out at the gym, but I can feel them tighten and have to stretch afterwards.
I used to workout a lot, but because of work and my schedule it's hard. I'm looking to strengthen my back and regain the tone in my arms and shoulders. I'm already seeing the muscles return in my back.
I'm a 5' 2" female with a 6.5 shoe and the glider fits me just fine. My feet don't slip out like others have complained in their reviews. Also, If you pull yourself forward and back with your arms it will hit your knees, I found pushing the handle bars outwards helps after pulling myself forward as though I am rowing. I also, do the back and fourth for variation. I really want to strengthen my arms and deltoids so I do it both ways. When I use the heavier setting I push with my legs in order to get some exercise there and not put strain my forearms. I also feel it in my abs as well.
The glider began to squeak as I worked out and ended up tightening some parts with the tools provided and now its quiet.
It would really be nice if there were instructions included on how to properly use the glider when exercising. If you look at the video reviews from other users, they do things differently. But those videos and reviews helped me in purchasing this product.

My only problem stems from my own handicapp. I have one replaced knee and am getting the other replaced in a month; the rower is very low so getting up from it is a problem for me. I have to either roll off onto the floor, or try to stand up by leaning forward and grabbing the meter housing which I don't feel it was made for.
Otherwise it's just what I expected and was looking for.

I use to strenghten my whole body. Rowing is best low impact way to do that. The seat could be a bit higher from the support bar. I bump the inside of my knees with every stroke. I have learned not to go all the way back to provent this from happening.

I got this machine to replace a Stamina 1300 Elevated Rower. It too was hydraulic so this is a comparable machine. This is not elevated, but that does make the workout more of a workout. It is quiet and - as rowing machines go - relatively comfortable. It has a lot of freedom of movement and you can basically move your arms in the way which feels most natural to you. As a daily rower, I was quite surprised when I was sore the day after I first used this machine. All in all, it's a good value.

Gives a great workout. The only knock I have, is that the angle of one arm is off from the other, so that the pull is not even. I think it was twisted when welded. When holding the handles together, the right one is about 2 inches further away from me than the left. It just feels awkward. I think someone should have checked this after it was built.

I've added the Stamina Body Trac Glider to my weight loss program. Wanted something to take the place of walking when I'm unable to go outside during the heat of summer and the cold winter. Found that the Body Trac Glider was very easy to assemble. Contrary to what some might say this machine is very quiet. The operation is smooth. A little awkward for me at first to get use to the rowing movement but accomplished that quickly. Like others, I agree that your feet come out of the footrests but am taking the suggestions from the reviews to remedy the situation. Love the fact that I can adjust the resistance and build up gradually.

This really CAN'T compare to higher end rowing machines (C2), so don't expect that feel. My one complaint, and I don't know yet if this is a manufacturing issue, is that the hydraulic arm will push back after about 20 minutes of use when you reach the front of the stroke. It's really annoying, and probably has to do with the hydraulic overheating.
Didn't expect that, but I can't complain with the price.

First thing I noticed was there were no directions on how to use the product. After maneuvering the product around, I was able to see the proper way to get it going. Second was the foot pads. They did not keep your feet securely fastened to them with the velcro secures. I did enjoy how the rowing action worked well. I will keep this product, but will fix something so I can keep my feet more securely to the foot pads.

This is a great machine. Always before, I have used a treadmill and hand weights to firm up. This saves so much time because it works both upper and lower at the same time. The resistance levels that you can set for your upper body add so much to the workout. When my husband set it up, he set the resistance very high. (Macho thing, you know!) He lasted less than two minutes. I set the resistance to 2 for the beginning workouts, and it is a perfect workout. I have had three rotator cuff repairs and it's hard to find workouts that I can do. I spend 30 minutes on it and try for every other day.
The machine is well built, and sturdy. Arm movements work together nicely with seat sliding. I love that if really feels like you are rowing on water, as opposed to pulling a cord that is only in front of you like the old rowing machines. There are enough resistance choices to last for a long time. No need to jump right back up and buy another machine.
I think that this is good for beginner or previous user.

I like this product more than I thought that I would. I was able to put it together myself in about an hour. My wife and I (age 65) both use it daily. It has been easy to slowly build up the time per session. It's too early (after two weeks) to tell if it is helping us lose weight or inches, but it sure can't hurt that process. It was simple to put together, and it operates quietly (contrary to the experience described by some other reviewers I read before we bought it). It is a little tricky to get up from it after use, but that may have more to do with our age than with the product.
Delivery was amazing. It seemed like I had just clicked the mouse to close the sale when I heard the FedEx truck in our driveway. Ok, it was two days later, but still amazing. Everything was in top condition on delivery.

I've read many of the same complaints about this rower such as the the foot supports are flimsy and your feet slip out because of the velcro straps and poor design, the handles are rubber coated and they tear your hands up, and it's not as good as a gym rower. I say SO WHAT!!! yes the foot supports are flimsy but my feet don't slip out besides the velcro straps are really not needed anyway. As far as the rubber tearing your hands WEAR GLOVES!!!!!! and who pays [$] and expects this rower to be as good as a gym caliber rower that cost thousands of dollars??? So far i have had no problems with this rower at all and my wife and i use it everyday vigorously for an hour each. Oh other complaints i kept reading is this rower is for beginners not experienced athletes and the piston loses resistance and/or leaks fluid. Let me tell you something... this Stamina Body Trac Glider is not for beginners nor is it for experienced athletes it's for ANYBODY that want to lose fat or keep the fat off and just get a pretty good cardio workout. Your major muscle groups get a pretty good workout as well if it's used correctly. I've yet to experience loss of resistance or fluid leaking from the piston and if i eventually do the saying is you get what you pay for right? I've definitely gotten more than my monies worth out of this rower and my wife and i are still using it without any issues. So with all of this said i end my opinion with... if you are not into the gym scene but want to get in a little low impact exercising in the privacy of your home and not exercise your pockets trying to purchase a top noch rower to do so then THIS IS A GREAT BUY!!!!! ; )

I've never liked working out, but this product makes it easy and convenient. I've had it almost two weeks and look forward to working out now. My only complaint is after four uses the left handle started making a grinding noise. I tried adjusting the tension hoping it would solve the problem, but it didn't help. I noticed metal shavings on the frame from the handles, but honestly not that concerned about it. Going to add WD-40 or oil and see if that helps, but I can live with the slight noise it makes.
Service and delivery was outstanding. I knew when my order was received, processed, and shipped. I received the product the day I expected it. I've received several e-mails asking if my expectations were met and I'm sure the service department will be equally as helpful and efficient.

There was a bit of set up but if you've ever put together anything else of consequence, this is about a 30-45 minute thing about following logical directions.
The first time I tried using it, I was in sock feet and my feet kept slipping out of the foot rests. HOWEVER, using gym shoes and VOILA, no more slipping problem.
This machine feels soooo good to use. I love it that the arms have so much range of motion instead of just back and forth. That feature makes this machine a must-have.
So, instead of sitting on one's behind watching TV, get on the rower and get the body moving. My body was, like, THANK YOU!
And it's not HARD or difficult or too strenuous. The resistance can be dialed up or down. It's the repeating of the motion that gets things going. It's such a pleasant set of motions -- stretch and crunch. I love it.
I got a fantastic salesperson on the phone who was friendly and genuine. I like this machine so much that I am ordering one to send to my husband in Iraq. It's compact enough for a chu, fits under a bed or leans up against a wall out of the way when not in use. Very portable and easy to move.

When arrived, the box was about 6 feet long and 1 foot square. It was easy to carry upstairs and assembly was fairly simple, about 30 minutes. The monitor is easy to read and control. The seat seems small, but it is big enough. The arms do squeek a little, but nothing to complain about. My only complaint so far is, like others, my feet slide down off the pedals. I wear my shoes, a women's 10/11, so that is not the issue. The lip at the bottom of the pedal that is intended to support my foot needs to be 2 inches, not 1. I don't know how the velcro straps are going to hold up with me having to constantly undo them to put my feet back on the pedal.Other than that, I enjoy this machine. The price is great and I feel it in my thighs, butt, arms and my back.

Got it together w/ son's help in about an hour although I could've done it myself in about 2 hours. Not hard to assemble. Very sturdy & does everything I hoped it would do. I like the upper training and cardio and my thighs feel it too, yet low impact. My back and stomach get a little also. I can jump on it and row in front of the TV and then move it out of the way and set upright. Not good to move long distances tho as is bulky, but works for me. I love it. I bought this rower knowing that my feet would probably slip off. (I read this in other reviews). There are some solutions I will be trying. With that said, the rower gives a good workout and doesn't take up much space when stored. A good price for a good workout when its hard to get to the gym.

Out of all the row machines I've used over the years, this one by far is the best. It's easy to use and the wide variety of motion on the arms is great. Very quite when I watch tv, stores away in a small compact closet. The only cons about it is the straps on the pedals, needs another strap at the bottom to hold your feet from falling off. Otherwise it's great.

I like this product, and it's easy to use and store. It keeps track of your time while using the machine, how may rows you have done and how many caloris you have burned! One problem that I have with it; my foot keep slipping out of the feet part even though i velcro my feet down tight. This interups my exercise and adds a little furstration.

I quit smoking and gained weight so I was looking for an inexpensive space saving full body workout exercise machine. Found it.
Before buying I read other reviews which had issues about the foot pedals, feet slipping off, yea they are right so wear shoes and tighten the straps which works for me. It's a entry level rowing machine IE cheep, but it's built solid and works well for a casual user. I'm quite pleased with it and most importantly I'm actually using it because I like it.
Product was shipped FEDEX ground, delayed due to snow storm, after main roads were cleared the delivery guy carried my package (38lbs) a block down to my house cause my street still had 2 foot of snow. 5 stars just ain't enough for the service I received from FEDEX, 10 stars at least.

I bought the Stamina Body Trac Glider knowing full well what the #1 negative review was. The foot pedals and feet sliding out of them due to their poor design. That is the only negative I have. My fix for this was simple. I took them off. It's a much better machine without them. I took them off, ran down to my local home improvement store and bought a two foot length of 1/2" PVC pipe which I cut to fit over the bar that holds the foot pedals on both sides. It took me about 10 minutes to do. Now when I'm rowing I just put my feet under the bar. I will add images with another review.

I use it everyday about 15 to 30 minutes. It is a great workout. I love the adjustable resistance just in case you are feeling a bit tougher that day. I feel like the unit that tracks the amount of calories burned might underestimate a bit but that and the smell of the grips on my hands is the only almost negative thing I can say. Perfect product for me just starting out.

I am disabled. I am paralyzed below my knees. I can stabilize my feet and push with my upper legs, and strengthen my upper body and my torso, abs, etc.. This is neat and affordable and will meet my particular needs. The arm exercises will help to improve my posture. Everything I do in a wheelchair makes me lean forward which has adversely affected my bearing. These exercises are identical to some I have received in therapy to straighten my back and neck.

So easy to put together! I used to be very athletic, but due to circumstances my schedule has prohibited a regular routine of any kind. I'm excited to use this as I have bad knees and it is hard to find activity that I am able to do without knee strain. I've only been on it a couple of times since I just got it. I felt as if I was rowing on a lake or river as I love to canoe so have always liked the feeling. I've just started using it am anxious to see if it will help get me back on the road to fitness. I bought my first Body Track a couple years ago. I used it approximately 10-15 minutes a day and about 5-6 days a week. I dropped a couple of sizes without really trying. I have never been into exercise, but this machine makes all over toning easy in a small amount of time. Great Aerobic workout too.
I will say the first one I bought did break after the warranty ran out. I bought a more expensive rower from another company. It was so difficult to use and did not provide much other than a good arm workout, that I ended up selling that rower and RE-buying this model. Upon starting up with this one again after 4 months without it, I realized that I was not getting the core workout with the more expensive model that this rower gives. I am having to start slower on this one to build back up.
I AM SO GLAD to have another Body Track. I'm hoping this one will last longer, but for the price if I have to purchase another one in a little over a year, then it's cheaper and better than a gym membership.
Very convenient to use. Light weight compared to the other model I had. Better ab/core workout and aerobic workout. Folds up to a small footprint and easily stores in a closet.
I would say that unless you are a body builder, stay away from the dual piston models and stick with this model.

A super product that is well built to last a long time. I can actually hear the tv now while working out! I like the fact that both my upper and lower body gets worked on.
The only problem I had is that my feet sometimes slip out of the boot, so I installed some ankle straps made of velcro....problem solved.

So far so good. Easy setup. Doesn't take up a lot of space. Folds up nicely for storage. Even though it's easy to use, feels like I'm getting a decent workout. Now it's just a matter of seeing how durable the machine is. Rarely encounter the problems others have mentioned about feet coming out of the pedals. As long as I make sure my feet are properly positioned and firmly strapped in, no problem.

This rowing machine was better built than what I'd expected. The parts are of good grade & strength and the steel is very thick with good welds. I like to use this because it breaks up running all the time. I like to sit in front of my TV, pop in a DVD, and row, row, row. It's quiet too, so I can hear the TV, to where my treadmill is very loud and can't be used with the TV.

This is an easy to use machine, just sit down, row your arms back as you slide back with feet in the holder.
Pros: I like its simplicity in use and that it works well and effectively. I can feel my arms, legs, core, and cardiovascular system at work! I'm sure that it will be helpful in the long run for good health.

The product is pretty sturdy, the only complaint is the foot strap that a bit too big for me, so it's a bit difficult to keep them in place.

It's a pretty good machine, especially when you consider the price. One problem that I have noticed is when you start doing alot of reps in a single exercise. 1-500ish reps and the thing is great, but start getting up higher and the piston starts to get really hot and then, all of a sudden, there absolutely no resistance. It makes achieving a good, sweaty workout hard to accomplish.

I'm 55 and have done a lot of physical work outdoors most of my life up until a few years ago. I have much easier work now and wanted a piece of equipment that was low impact yet gave me enough of a workout to stay toned and keep the cardio-vascular system in shape. I break up my workout with a few reps of push-ups and feel great. This little rower is exactly what I hoped it would be. Simple to assemble and well made. I have had no problem with the foot pedals as some have stated although I elevate the rear platform to give me more workout on my legs. That is the only thing I find lacking - the ability to adjust the height of the rear pedestal. I recommend this machine to anyone although I have not used any of the more expensive models that are available.

The rowing motion is great, I get a good crosstraining workout to complement my running. Very happy with machine. Very good quality at the price. I question the accuracy of the calorie counter but that's true of all exercise equipment I think. I have wanted to get a rower for a while so when i checked out this one it seemed perfect for my needs and budget. It was easy to assemble and takes very little space to store. I felt it working my core muscles within the first workout! The only drawback I have found is that there are no real clear instructions on proper usage. I found a video on youtube for a similar machine and my teenage kids and I all use the rower now.

I used to row on a team in high school and early in college - that was 25+ years ago. I always loved rowing, it is a total body workout. All muscle groups get worked, regardless of people saying only the upper body. In fact, it is the legs which push you away and then pull you forward which do the most work, the arm movements just finish out what the legs are really doing. I am *really happy* with this very cost effective rowing machine. i would recommend it to anyone.
The only question I have is that while I am doing a vigorous workout for 30 minutes, the calorie counter usually only gets up to about 90. However, on all the on-line calorie calculators, it shows vigorous rowing to burn about 400+ calories. I found that if the seat moves up and back 7 times, it counts as a calorie. How can this be? i would think that the resistance + repetition would burn calories than no resistance and only repetition. Either way, i feel more limber and my muscles are getting definition again.

I didn't give it a star for storage but that is not the machines fault, I just have a small place. I'm very satisfied with all aspects of the order and machine.
